Power Tongue Jack

The a122s I bought has a power tongue jack. I really like the convenience. But I'm wondering how I would raise and lower the camper If the power jack fails. I don't see any manual crank. Am I missing something?

There should be a little hole in the front that you can stick in a crank handle to manually raise or lower the jack. you may be missing the crank handle i think that they are loose in one of the storage compartments.

Thanks.. Ok.. I bought the camper used.. so it may be missing. I'll double check the compartments tonight. If not, I'll check the the manufacture and model of the jack and try to buy a crank.

Should be a rubber cap you pop off the top of the jack to access the manual operation. You can use a ratchet wrench and extension and a socket to crank up or down. Don't recall the socket size tho. Later RJD

unit should have come with a socket to fit the cap at teh top which you remove and use a 3/8 drive ratchet. be careful though it spins down easily but it takes more work to raise it.
I had 3 Ultrafab units fail on ours so i know you can crank it off the truck easily.

remember to grease the spot inside on a regular basis as well.

There should also be a sticker or mark on the leg of the powered jack, saying not to retract beyond this point. If you bring it up too far it will blow your inline fuse. This was demonstrated to me during the PDI when the service tech blew the fuse and swapped it out.

As for the hand crank you show from amazon, I don't think that's the right one. Should look more like a socket on the end.

Power Tongue Jack

You can download the manual from the ultra fab web site. It says to use a 9/16" socket.
