Raise table bed?

Has anyone raised the table bed to allow your feet to to go over the table backboard?

If that bed was only a few inches longer it be perfect. I thought about getting a foam matress from walmart and see if that raises it just enough. Curious if anyone else has raised the table bed any.

T21DMHW

Camper has a dinette table that folds down to a small bed. Where the dinette is located by the queen bed i am wanting to raise it so my feet can lay on the bed too. The dinette bed is 64"s long. I took some measurements and thought if i bought a 6-8" foam mattress and cut it i could raise the dinette bed enough to allow for a taller person to sleep there.

Curious if anyone tried that before

My thoughts: how much would the person lying down sink down into a 6-8" pad?

I have found lying down on thick memory foam mattresses uncomfortable because I am big and sink down too much, making turning over a challenge.

Whatever you add should be very firm in order to be comfortable and maintain the height needed.
