Reflectix installation question

Is Reflectix more efficient if installed inside or outside? I've ordered some for my Rockwood A122 because the Cool Cat isn't keeping up with the coastal South Carolina summer temps. I know it would be easier and last longer if it was installed inside. I'm especially curious about the rear skylight. I'm also curious if most people use the Reflectix tape to protect the edges. Thanks for the input. I learn so much perusing thus forum.

It will work better outside. It is not insulation, it is reflective foil so when used inside a window some of energy hitting the window from outside or reflected back against the glass will be absorbed and heat the glass. Outside window shades would probably work as good as using Reflectix inside and you could still see out. But much higher cost.

I agree, but inside works for us. Stapling it to precut cardboard and propping it under the window shade worked wonders in the desert southwest heat.

I used this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and this

on the outside of the window. Helps with the heat and the brightness.

The only part that sucks is to remove it I have to get out of the trailer.
