Removal of Water Filter

After reading several post about the in line water filter in the A-frame and the trouble I had removing the canister I decided to remove the filter and canister and connect the water line with a 4 inch piece of sch 80 grey pvc pipe. I noticed on the small piece of pvc pipe it said for "Outdoor Use Only" has anyone come across this? Does that mean it cant be used with portable water? I bought it in the sprinkler section of the hardware store.

It should be ok then its connecting the line on the fresh water side before it makes its way to the water heater.
