Remove ceiling light cover

I have a 2016 213hw. One of my ceiling lights is flickering so Iím trying to remove the cover to check bulb or wire

Canít get the darn thing off. I see the 4 little notches, but no reasonable amount of squeezing or prying is doing it

How is this done? Does just the clear part come off or the whole thing?

Appreciate your helpClick image for larger version

Just the clear lens.

Slide a thin knife in between the lens and the white outer housing.

The lens will pop out as you pull/pry down on the knife.

The notches will fool you!

Also, if LED, it 'may' have a wafer type bulb. Most are non-replaceable. New light or solder in a new wafer.

Ok I got the cover off. Turns out it is not a replaceable bulb, but I found a replacement fixture in Amazon. Thanks for your help.

The clear lens removes easily with a paint can opener. Less than a $1 at Lowes

Do you have a link to the replacement fixture or an item name/description? I have an A214HW and it would be helpful to know. Thank you.

It's only one light flickering?

If both lights flicker, just a tip for you or future searchers: In case you're not aware, the ceiling lights are wired with a switch that turns them off when the roof is lowered. Mine is located at front left of the interior behind the fabric "curtain." Sometimes the switch sticks and I have to push it in (and let it spring out again) to allow me to turn the lights on.

Might be worth checking that as a possible cause.

Thanks JArry. It was just the one light. I replaced it and all is well. Thanks for the tip for future reference

Just replaced one also

Thanks for all the guidance. One of mine went out, when I removed the Dome I felt pretty stupid, no bulb but a soldered panel, etc. Just replacing the entire unit was easy and there is light. One thing to note, the lumens are 470, so if you are looking for 500, stop. They round up.
