Rockwood and Jayco A-Frames?

Just watched a video demo of a Jayco and it looks almost exactly the same as a Rockwood A-Frame. I thought these were two different manufactures. What's up?

Jayco is a different manufacturer, but they're new to the A-frame world.
I wouldn't be surprised that they copied the very successful Rockwood/Flagstaff A-frames of FR.
A-liner and Chalet had this particular market locked up for years and kept raising prices. I think FR saw an opportunity to come in and compete, especially with price point.
Jayco must have decided to jump in too.

The basic design of A Frame campers is pretty well proven. It is no wonder that Jayco uses it too.

My Jayco Jaysport 12HMD is on order from the factory. I can do a whole lot of camping for the difference between the Jayco and any Aliner I could get from the nearest dealer 300 miles away. Just made sense to me. Of course after nearly 200K miles in various class A motorhomes, the Aframe now makes sense for this part of my life and some fun with my Grandkids. Real camping, not small traveling house camping. I look forward to many more enjoyable travels.

New Year's Eve saw delivery of my new Jayco 12HMD. I am pleasantly surprised with the obvious quality displayed. Of course it made 4 miles to the storage unit I use and will not get opened up again now for about 6 weeks. Spare tire, propane tanks and battery were removed till I can secure them properly. 21 degrees today in Oklahoma, not favorable to doing anything on the unit.
