Rotating tires?
Do the trailer tires need to be rotated? If so, should we include the spare in the rotation?

I really wouldnt go through all the frustration of rotation, not only for the physical pain of doing such a thing, but also the spare wheel is a white cheapie .. and would look terrible on the trailer. Just replace the two that are presently on the camper every 4 years or so ... if they fail a visual inspection, or have had a lot of miles on them. just my .02

Short answer: No.
I'm assuming you have two axles. Unless they start showing different wear when you compare front to back (which would indicate an inflation or load problem), I see no reason to ever rotate a trailer tire. Trailer tires tend to wear out due to time and age, not mileage, unlike cars & trucks.

I would go to the extra trouble of having them balanced, you will be surprised how much they are off. Plus this will extend your tread life considerably.

How far you tow in a year? I've never had a tire that used up its tread. They have all been replaced for aging.

according to the tires, they should be rotated. I do not include the spare just check for proper inflation. Al-Ko (the axle) dos not care so long as the proper torq is applied to the lugs nuts. check this link for the pdf owners manual for the axle.

Abnormal wear is also evidence of an alignment problem, suspension problem, bent spindle/axle or brake problem.
Would not waste the time or effort of rotating the tires.

I talked to the Goodyear guy about mine. Put over 10,000 miles on my Marathons this year (about 28,000 miles since new 3 years ago) and the front ones are showing an "over pressure" wear pattern (center wear greater than edges). The rears are straight across wear (normal). This means that the front axle is carrying slightly less load than the rear axle.
He suggested "if I wanted" to rotate front to back and keep the tires on the same side. I decided not to rotate them and just put a new set of 4 on at the 40,000 mile point.

I have a two axel 5er and I rotate the tires every 5000 miles front to rear and rear crossed to front. It's free at American tire and it gives me a chance to look over the brakes and suspension. I do not rotate me spare in
