We bought a good 10' x 10' EZ Up style awning with a screen room attachment. Below is a pic of how we set it up...minus the screen room. We have the corners tied down using adjustable cinch straps. Three straps are hooked to dog tie-out augers, and one is hooked to the camper's left step housing. The awning just flat out doesn't budge.

It might seem to some like a bit of overkill on securing it down. We've seen freak storms blow through, and have even lost an awning to one...with the storm coming through so quickly that there was no time to drop the awning. We had one blow through this past October, and while everyone else was either chasing their EZ Ups, holding down their awnings, or wondering how much it was going to cost to fix the fresh hole in their roof , our awning just stayed right where we left it.

To keep from tripping over the augers at night, we have solar lights we plant in the ground between the augers and the poles.

Hi! What is the canopy cover you have in the picture?? We are looking for one like it, namely, the color! Thanks

We brought a used Aliner Paha Que awning that was made specifically for the aframe. Is was about $300 We use it when we are staying a few days in one place. Really adds to living area. Has a floor and screening with drop down full sides for privacy or you can just setup as a canopy.

@catworker, how has your screen room worked out? If you are pleased, would you refer the dealer and share order info? I have my mind set on one -- new or used -- for our aliner. Thank you!

Wish I could help you. Due to family and medical issues we haven't been out to test it. Next season. I know I'm going to like it.

Best wishes to you. I hope you'll be back camping very soon. Campfires under the stars are restorative. :-)

When we bought our hardside it came with a screen room/awning that we don't plan to install or use. It's never been out of the bag. If anyone in the Indianapolis area is interested in buying it we'd be happy to work out a discounted price.

Phalexander, would you consider Detroit as being in the vicinity of Indianapolis? At least we are in adjacent states. :-)

Well I'd say it's workable if you're motivated. Maybe could meet half way....
