I don't know that it is considered waterproof by the manufacturer, but we've seen no sign of water infiltration. We've been under it in some driving rain and stayed dry.

EZ Up works great! It provides shade, has kept us dry in torrential rains and shelter from the wind. We use the soft zippered sides as needed for privacy and as a weather barrier.
