Second trip report!

We took the new A122BH to Wallashuck campground at Lake Red Rock in Iowa this weekend.

It was a really nice campground!

Here's a little album at the campsite, and then back in storage: click here for album

I still can't figure out the retaining pins on the rv que however. Here is a better image of where the lip on the lower half of the rv que blocks the pin. You can see I have the pin at an angle to try and get it started, but the straight pin just won't go in there.

I can get one side in, but that then pushes the other side too tight to get the pin inserted.

I think the solution will be to file a notch in each side of the lip to allow the pin to fit.

Yeah, only the left side pin goes in on mine as well. The lip hits the right side just like you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Maybe I'll just put a notch in the right side to get it more secure.

Sure like the looks of your rig!
Our very first trailer was a 2003 Aliner Expedition with all the bells and whistles (at the time) and we loved that thing and had it 8 years before our first Jayco and now our FR Surveyor.
I really like the FR hard sided pop ups and wonder if I would have bought one compared to the Aliner or Chalet. It's a great way to go though.
Thanks for the memories!

Happy Camping!

Both of the brackets I have had in 2 trailers were drilled with a hole to insert the locking pin at the end of the round steel pole piece.

The bracket does have the correct holes, but the bottom lip of the grill covers the holes! That's where I'm planning to add a notch.

Second trip report!

Very nice looking unit. And you have the new stove model; so much sleeker than the original. Congrats!

I was thinking that if you can get one pin in that should be enough, but I can see that with a toddler you want all the security you can get.

The grill actually works pretty well! I've seen complaints about it before, but I think most of them were about the older model.

We just took our 2014 A 122 BH out for the first time the past few days. Loved it. My wife put the grill together and did all the cooking. I'll ask her if she had any problems. We almost invested in the bigger RVQ2 grill, but we're happy with the grill that came with the camper. It's plenty big enough for cooking for two people.

Update: Wife said she didn't even use the pins. She said the grill was plenty stable and didn't see how it would slide off without a lot of effort.
