I do believe the OP has a right to go after the dealer with every tool available, but has no reason to fault FR for any of it.

You don't know the cause of the problem. Only an expert can determine the cause after examining that specific camper. And if the dealer is unwilling or unable to do that, then FR, as the OEM, should step up.

I'm gonna weigh in. Easy solution would be for dealer to step up, make this right, then if it is a FR problem, dealer takes that up with FR. Of course, life is rarely easy, or fair for that matter.

Just don't see it as an OEM problem without knowing what the dealer did or didn't do, and that my friend, we'll never know. If I was the OP, I would go after the dealer with gusto. If the dealer took the wheels off and the trailer fell and damaged the undercarriage, would that be a OEM problem? Same thing IMO.
OP should seek outside guidance on the next step to get it repaired. If it is financed, would inquire with a lawyer just what possibilities and recourse is feasible.
That's all folks!

Taking the tires off is obviously not a manufacture defect. Is this leak? Maybe, maybe not. But I don't see how you can view them as being the same. One (removing tires) would be obvious, the other (this leak) not so much.
I wish you luck A-frame Don. Sorry for your thread getting sidetracked.

best thing to do is not buy a new broken one and fight for a satisfactory repair. Buy a new non broken one and go camping

Our experience with FR Palomino
We bought 2013 Gazelle and it has had issues. It's been to the factory twice and the dealer quite a few times. I fix what i can myself and am getting better. As my father in law says, these things experience the equivalent of an earth quake going down the road and things are always loosening up and screws coming out. Anyway, the most recent issue was last fall. We noticed that the bathroom floor (rear bath) was real spongy. Took it to the dealer who said he had never seen a floor so bad and they couldn't fix it. Ouch, I was at a loss for words on a two year old unit. Long story short, dealer called the factory and the factory said bring it down (out of warranty by 13 months) and we will fix it for little to no charge. FR determined that the unit was not built correctly and there was no charge. The removed all the tanks and rotten floor in they back, all from the bottom. They also checked the rest of the unit and found other spots we were not aware of. They fixed everything and its actually more solid now than it was when new. We all know these ultra-lights have some give in the floor just because of the way they are made. The dealer took ther unit to the factory, I picked it up because the dealer was not going to be able to get down there before the snow fell and I wanted it stored and covered at home for the winter and didn't want any more salt on it. I have found the factory to go out of their way to "make things right" by me. I talked to the factory manager and he explained everything that they did and i was satisfied with his explanation and resolution. I hope that your dealer is as helpful as mine has been. I do commend FR-Palomino for doing the right thing and stepping up and fixing a unit out of warranty that they obviously made a mistake on. It sounds like yours is still new and under warranty. The factory can fix a lot of things. Don't give up hope.

Was comparing the dealer taking the tires off to the dealer opening the camper and then not closing it properly or storing it properly. The dealer caused the problem, let the dealer fix it and leave FR out of it. It is not a mfgr problem.

Update
Dealer still has our camper and is waiting for parts on order. I've been told that FR was on summer shutdown for two weeks. They are going to replace the dinette table, mattress, plywood under the mattress and all the roof windows. The windows were re-caulked at the time of delivery. I sure hope new windows will solve the problems. The camper has been with the dealer since June 16. With any luck, I'll be able to get some fall camping done. lol

Warranty Work Finished
I'm happy to say I picked up our camper on Saturday, after a long wait, since June 16. The dealer had all warranty work completed, including replacing all roof windows, mattress, table, bed plywood plus a short list of other issues/adjustments. The dealer apologized for the delay (waiting for parts) and even paid my cancellation fees on campground reservations I had for a July trip to Myrtle Beach. He even had FR extend my warranty because of the lost season this summer. I certainly would recommend this RV dealer to any of my friends. WOW!
Just received two mailings from Forest River, one from Goshen, IN and one from Elkhart, IN with copies of the extended warranty. Happy to say Forest River does have great customer service, after great input from my dealer.

Glad to see you got it all worked out. I like threads like this where people understand the hurdles and are willing to give the dealer and FR a chance to make it right. I understand frustration but threats because you are upset only delay the process, this thread is a good example of staying calm, good customer service even though it was a long wait.

Glad it worked out Don! I think I would get a case of beer and at least camp in the driveway for a few days right away to enjoy it!
