Sink faucet mod on my 213HW

I quickly got sick of removing the faucet every time we put the top down. It required taking the faucet off, which always leaked water all over the place. Not much really but still an aggravation. So considering I'm a gunsmith and have a machine shop at my disposal I built myself a fold down faucet from a folding shower attachment and some modified brass compression fittings. Now if I can remember to switch off the pump I'll be golden. Click image for larger version

They must have made some changes. Our A213HW (purchased in Feb '16) has a folding faucet.

Thanks would be a pain for sure.

Really? We got ours in May and I had to have what they had in there originally changed out because the wall/window was resting on the taps and I knew that something was gonna give. Please post a picture so I can get an idea of what is "supposed" to be in there so I can replace this fine piece of engineering. Mine works fine and I didn't change anything below the sink but still it's good to know that there is a correct one available. I wondered why this poorly thought out design was in there in the first place. Perhaps it wasn't supposed to be.

I see what is going on. In the post title you stated "mod on my 213HW". But in your signature you list A212HW.

Looks like the 212 has a different sink and faucet than the 213.

Yep, something definitely wrong there. My 213HW also came with a folding faucet.

Well that would explain it. Still I would think that the faucet should fold down. Seems a no brainer for me. Whatever the case mine works so I guess unless it quits working it's good. Or if the wife doesn't like it of course. Then it definitely will have to go.

My 2016 T21QBHW has the same faucet that has to be removed ! What a big pain. Post a pic of the folding faucet please. I think it's time to upgrade, since I don't have a machine shop .

Here is the folding faucet on an a213hw. Our units have different sinks. It looks like the logo on the faucet is RK. Maybe they make a three hole model.

If not mistaken that is a dometic sink. BTW I picked up the fold down faucet in Botalengers (SP) in White Pigeon MI, this summer. They and Johnsons down the road have about anything you could use, if you can get there.
