The cushions aren't comfortable to sleep on. Neither was the stock bed mattress. Putting mattress toppers (2 or 3inch) on them makes a world of difference. And you can fold down with the toppers in place.
We used a twin-size topper on the dinette to take up less space when using as a dinette. I sleep on the part with the topper. Since we cook, eat, clean, and lounge outside when the weather is reasonable, setting up the dinette is not that common.
We have never turned the electric mattress on, so I'm not positive the 2 are compatible.
Drawback to the topper on the bed is that makes the bed heavy and awkward to lift to access storage underneath.
