Stabilizers and roof raising
Do you lift the roof on your aframe camper before or after you crank down the stabalizers?
I usually level left to right (if needed ), unhitch, level front to back, raise the roof.. then lower the stabs.

Block Tires, unhitch, front to rear left right, check with level, raise roof, then stabilize.

Hey dts.. if you unhitch first.. how are you moving the camper to put blocks or wood under the tire for left to right level? Or do you use bal leveler?

I've done the stabilizers both ways with no problems. But I'm pretty careful not to crank down the stabs hard - just barely snug them to the ground and call it good.
I have noticed that the latches sometimes align a little better than other times. But I've never had a situation where I couldn't latch.
We use the Levelr orange Lego blocks for leveling left to right. Have a bubble level calibrated in inches just above the frame front cross piece. 1" = 1 Lego block. Check level before unhitching, place Legos, back on.

According to forest river video, the stabilizers go down before top goes up.

Have had many folding and now a hard side folding camper. Always, in every manual the factory instructions are to level and lower the stabilizers before raising the roof. I do see benefits in doing it this way. I see no benefits in lowering the stabilizers after you raise the roof. I believe by having the stabilizers down during raising the roof, etc, keeps the box more square and and level during the raising of the roof.

Page 56 of the manual says to put the stabilisers down before unlatching the roof. I've not done it this way because on my Fleetwood/Coleman popup the order was raise roof then stabilize. I sometimes don't even put the stabilisers down at all just so there is less to do on mornings when we have an early departure.

I follow the manual-Level left to right first, front to back, then put the stabilizers down. I'm hitch re level front to back & raise the roof sections. That way the roof section fit together squarely

We found that sometimes, when we stabilized first, the right-hand wall did not align with a "tab" in the roof - so, we erect the walls, then stabilize.
