Stereo in Flagstaff T12RBST

Just picked up a 2017 Flagstaff T12RBST. The previous owner told me he disconnected the outside speakers because he couldn't figure out how to switch between the inside and outside ones. I forgot to ask him where the wiring was. Any help on where to look so I can hook them back up would be appreciated.

Welcome.

Either the fader or left/right balance on the radio controls the balance between inside and outside. I have to play around with it every time i turn on the radio.

Yes...I just read that in the manuals. Problem is he somehow disconnected the wires. He was going to show me where or how he accessed those wires and we got distracted.

My bad for posting when I was exhausted. I'll just get back in there and see what I find

Wiring behind radio

Pop off the front coverplate, unscrew the 2 (or 4) screws, pull out radio and connections will be on back. Turn off outside speakers by pressing the 'C' button.

I would suggest looking behind the speakers for the disconnected wires as that is the easiest to accomplish. At the other end all the wires are bundled into a plastic wiring harness connector and more difficult to access and would need cutting as well as isolating. If he did that you'll need barrel crimps and wire strippers to make whole again.
Good luck!

BTW, that stereo consumes quite a bit of current even when it's turned off. My solution is to pop off the faceplate and store it in a small Tupperware dish when not using it, which is almost always.

I just took the stereo out of my T12DDST of course I also removed the microwave and outside speaker and antenna. Found it was poor sound quality. Used the Radio power source for some 12vdc out lets, put a 12vdc outlet where the antenna was and covered where the outdoor speaker was with diamond plate. My 2 cents worth

Thanks....maybe I'll just use it as is for the summer. It isn't something I would normally use anyways. I just hate having stuff that doesn't work.

If you do attempt to rewire the speakers, make sure that you connect the outside speaker(s) to the fader control, not the balance control. My A Frame came with the wrong connections and I had to revise the wiring.

Balance is for adjusting left and right stereo sound, fader is for adjusting sound going to outside vs. inside speakers (or using both at the same time).
