Stereo vs Water Heater

We've noticed that the stereo clicks off and all settings are reset anytime the water heater kicks on. Anyone else experience this issue or know how to resolve? Nothing else turns off or resets, just the stereo.

It will be helpful to others if you include the trailer year and model number in your forum signature. Same thing for your tow vehicle if you have any questions related to towing.

The edit signature link is in the Quick Links drop down.

It sounds like a loose connection to me, and since I think it's unlikely they are on the same circuit breaker, that means its probably the neutrals which are loose (somewhere).

As best I can determine, the stereo is on its on circuit that does not pass through the fuses in the converter. It has its own fuse inside the cabinet. I am not sure how power is delivered to the igniter on the water heater.

My speculation would be that the igniter is somehow causing a problem in the power system that is momentarily reducing the voltage available to the stereo.

I have not set up the stereo and so I have no personal comparison to add about memory loss but have not heard any power cycle clicks while the WH is on.
