Storing the Rockwood A Frame?

I was reading some posts in a forum on the Aliner and those are recommended to be stored in the up position. I was very surprised because one of the main reasons we purchased a pop up camper is to be able to store it in our garage. Is this the case with the Rockwoods as well? How do you store your Aframe?

I store ours down with slight elevation on front or hitch/ I store it that way because there is not enough room to extend it in the garage

I would be surprised too. Storing it up would mean it must be outside and being outside and up would violate the restrictions for most subdivisions.

I store my a122S on a concrete slab in the closed position with the tongue slightly high. I keep the door side latch closed and locked and the other open to make it easier to get in when I need to.

I think the aliner folks were having problems with warping or something when stored in the closed position. Some people have made modifications to their garages to be able to store it open which defeats the whole purpose of a pop-up in my opinion. I am just hoping that this is not the case with the Rockwoods.

Store it locked down ...
Our trailer is stored in the garage with a 35lb canoe on top all winter. This is one of the reasons we bought this unit.
If you are in an older garage scenario .. this has to be done because of mice and other little critters. We have never had any problems ... and from what im reading our forum ... its probably the oldest unit here .. built in Oct 2010.
So ..not to confuse the issue further ... i would button it down for sure.
on a side note: When visiting an A-liner dealer before we bought our A-frame ... we found the Elite model unit with 6 inches of snow on the front bench seats .. it was up all winter ..... but that was early March ... but still snow should have even thought of getting between the wall and the inside.
