Suggestions for Tongue Jack wheel

I have a concrete pad on the side of the house I plan to park my rockwood A122S. Problem is the entrance to the pad is narrow, so I would like to push it in place. The electric jack on it had no wheel. Should I just buy one with the wheel and install it? Has someone found something that would work without installing more weight? Thanks!

Agreed. On another forum I frequent, a guy used one of these from Harbor Freight and was satisfied with it.

Thirds on that tongue jack. I've not needed one myself, but small camper owners have been reporting good service from them for years.

My 1999 Coleman Sante Fe had about the same size and weight specs as your A122S. It came from the factory with a wheel on the tongue jack. We used to have a family camping weekend at my step-sister's place and we used to wheel the Coleman into their backyard with no problems. I don't see any problem adding a wheel to a tongue jack on your small camper.

However, the dolly that OC suggested would be easier to steer than a wheeled tongue jack and put less stress on the jack. If you can pick it up for $60, I'd go that way.

Look at the Trailer Valet, it's a jack and a hand crank chain drive with high and low gear. I run my tandem tow dolly up and down a pretty good incline on my driveway with no problems, double pneumatic tires make maneuvering easy and I can park it in the tightest of spaces. Well worth the cost. $300 new, and you can order separate base plates to move the unit to other trailers. I plan to get a base for my utility trailer.

My hard side also came with the electric jack and no wheel. I just bought a folding jack as usually found on a boat trailer. When I'm done moving the trailer (or when towing) the jack folds up parallel to the frame, out of the way. It just clamps on the frame and works great. Only use it when rolling the trailer on a pad or in the garage. Works for me.

I bought the harbor freight dolly and got it for a great deal. They had one that was returned with a bad wheel and they replaced the wheel. 20% off of $59. I almost bought the single wheel type for around $32 bucks. The driveway pad needs a lot of maneuvering.

Suggestions for tongue jack wheel

I just bought one of the Harbor Freight dollys and used it for the first time on Sunday to get my A122S back into the garage. It couldn't have been easier. I don't even need my wife's help to push it.

The harbor freight doesn't work to great on gravel and an incline. Have decided to extend the cement pad in front of my storage shed so it will work.

Just pull the foot off the jack and put a wheel in it's place. You don't need a new jack or a fancy dolly.
