We did big Bend NP last spring, it was our 4th trip. Did Palo Duro State Park , Seminole Canyon State Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, At Davis Mountains State Park, you can go see Fort Davis, Balmorhea pool, McDonald Observatory. All good. As some one said get the park pass as it will pay for it self. Big Bend Ranch State Park, we did not stay at as it looked a little to remote. We did drive it, was nice looking park.
Guadalupe Mountains NP is OK but as stated camping is in a parking lot. also Carlsbad Caverns National Park is not that far from Guadalupe Mountains NP which we have done 3 time.
