If this was me and I preventive taped non leaking window, I would have a rock or something break a window with in a week. So I carry a roll of Duc-Tape in case one of them should start to leak then I will tape them. This looks like a good system.

I've been looking into getting the Eternabond tape, but I'm curious. What happens if/when you need to replace a vent cover?

Do you just have to cut through the tape and add more after replacing the cover?

i have been through both the eternabond tape and the 3m extreme taping systems ...
i purchased etranabond and never used it ... as it is so sticky that ... it will never come off ... great product ... im sure it will stop leads ... but if you are putting it on a finished surface .. like an exposed roof ... like our Aframes .. you darn well better be prepared.
3m extreme is more forgiving ... i had it installed professionally ..and it does come off .. with a little love and tenderness ... but this year i have had a leak in the same area of the window we have already had a leak... did a small caulking job with RV flex and all is good.

Extranabond for anything that may never be reworked or replaced ... 3m extreme for jobs that need to reworked if an issue arises ..

I used the 2" black. Had a 50' roll, still have some left. Got it from "Best Materials". Good prices and fast shipping.
