Thinking about buying 2013 Rockwood 5th wheel

Anyone have any words of advice? Does Forest River stand behind their product? Any particular problems I should be aware of?

We've had our 8280WS for 3 camping seasons and have really enjoy and haven't had any issues with it. I think that Rockwood makes a great camper in this price range and that you'd have a hard time finding anything better for features and build quality.

It's the second Rockwood we've owned and would buy again.

Ditto on what Dave and Monica say. We are almost 2 years, 280 days camping and +- 20000 miles on our rig. We have had no problems with the rig except what our dealer caused, so choose your dealer well.

A few screws came loose here and there, a faucet failed which I replaced myself, FR replaced my Concertone. My kitchen counter tops are beginning to warp so will be contacting FR about that.

Amazing product at an amazing price. FR do stand by their product just read the thread at what they did at the last Goshen FROG rally, awesome service.

Thanks for your replies. I am on my own now since my husband passed away. I have an older 5th wheel and I would like to upgrade but am a little nervous of making this purchase on my own. I'm also a little concerned about whether I will ever be good at backing the thing up.

Buy the second year of warranty to guard against things that could go wrong.

The camper backing is nothing more than practice. You could hook up and head to the nearest mall parking lot and practice.

Note to Moderators: This thread should be moved to 'Rockwood' section.
