Tire size on A-Frames

HI All

Just curious - Esp since I get asked about my trailer (alot), trying to keep up with the current changes...

One of the appeals about the Aliner brand was the optional "off road" package with the larger tire size (14") - I found that with the Forest River's Rockwood & Flagstaff A-frames, this was not an option because of the axle...then when I found the Flagstaff toyhauler hardside AND happily discovered it --> DID <-- come in 14" so besides the cost savings in brands (Aliner vs Forest River), getting a gear deck for my equipment was the sweet clincher!

Before the toyhauler caught my eye, we did look at turning the axle but there was not enough clearance on the T12DDST / A128 units to accomplish this & dealers warned against modifying (something about voided warranty) & at that time, ordering the change from factory was just not an available option.

Are they now making the 2013 with the option? Any else have 14" tires on their unit? Bike hauler units?

Our 2013 A127TH came with LT235/75R15 off-road tires, i. e., 15 inch tires.

WOW! Now thats awesome! I soooo wanted 15" tires...was glad to get the 14" vs 13"....but 15" owuldve been better for my needs. sigh..that would explain why the 2013 model is listed as taller in folded height in the new FR brochure

That was one of the features that sold us on the toy hauler. It has increased ground clearance (note that we have two steps) and the mud terrain tires. Those things should allow us to take it out west and get to some remote locations, drop the camper, and do some desert runs with the truck.

Very cool. Love the matching spare and larger wheels and tires. That would look so nice with my Jeep.

Love it! I agree with Jeep4two..those tires would look sharp with a jeep! (The 4 dr Sahara is on DH mind as his run around rig....maybe look at them next year and have question for Jeep owners then)

Welp, Deb & Glenn - that totally explains why the GVWR is 3835 with diff on hitch weight at 335 to mine at 3407 & 320....the brochure mystery is solved!
