I am very pleased with my set up (purchased the vehicle in prep for the Aliner!)
I drive an 2012 Toyota Highlander 4 cyl.
I average 18-21 towing and 22-25 not towing. (A124)

Towing MPG

We are pulling a Flagstaff 27RLWS trailer with a 2009 1500LT Suburban, and I have found that by using my tow button, the Suburban shifts at a much higher RPM and won't shift as well, so I have been using the Manual Shift mode and keep it in fourth or possibly fifth gear, not in overdrive. It pulls the
trailer well at 65 MPH and 2800 RPM. Our mileage runs from 8 to 12 MPG in Montana and South Dakota hills.
I also change transmission fluid every year.

16 mpg at 65 mph towing. Highway mileage is 23, in town 19. Love it compared the my former Chevy 3500 Express van towing a 23 foot Surveyor Hybird. 9 mpg towing, 14 in town and 17 highway.

Ridgeline, you made a mistake by not asking for input only from A-frame owners.
What's happened is you're getting responses from some that didn't pay attention that you posted in the A-frame sub-forum and that you own an A-frame which is why your mpg is so good.
Some may not even know what an A-frame is.

towing fuel mpg

Silverado. Aluminum 5.3. 2.73 rear gear. 17 mpg at 65. 13 mpg At 75-80 lots of power at all speeds. Cat back duals, cold air intake & a programmer. This I'm flat country, it's less pulling hills. We do carry a lot of extra stuff though.
