Towing with FWD mini van - excellent

There seems to be a lot of questions: Can I tow with _____________? We are new owners of T12RB (2500 lbs loaded). We just towed it 4000 miles from Michigan, through eastern Ohio, south to the Smokey Mountains, west to Texas then back to northern Michigan. We towed with an 04 FWD Montana. Over the years we have towed (75,000 miles) a variety of trailers up to a 26 travel trailer with a 2500 Chevy van. The Montana/a-frame is by far the best towing combination we have ever had. We have auto level control and do not need a weight distributing hitch. It has plenty of power even in the mountains. We have the longer van, no sway. I drive between 55 and 65 mph in 3rd gear and use a transmission cooler. Under most circumstances we forget the trailer is behind us. Fuel economy is excellent. Best 22.3 mpg crossing Michigan on a cool day, no air at 57 mph. Worst was in the mountains, 95 degrees, heavy traffic, 65 mph and gasohol, 17.5 mpg.

We bought this trailer to travel/not camp with. We are very happy with our decision. We are planning to go through the Rockies later this summer. Easiest to use RV we have ever owned.

don't think many will argue about a minivan towing an A-frame or popup.
that's a perfect combo.

it's those that believe that towing a full-height TT with a minivan, that are the problem.
