Be heading that way Friday. Weather doesn't look like it can make up it's mind right now. Oh well, we'll be there anyway.

Have fun there. We will be going to the Texas Ren Fest in a few weeks, but not camping.

I swore I would never go again unless it is camping. It's no fun to sit in a line of traffic in the parking lot for two hours, especially when half of the people driving those cars are drunk.

Friday and Sat weather was fine a storm with over 60 mph winds came through Sunday morning around 4am lots of damage to camp grounds must have seen over 50 tents wrecked. Lost my ez-up but LCoW held up fine and kept us safe sound and dry.

It woke me up. I made the mistake of leaving my awning out....I didn't expect the wind, so all I'd done was lock one end down to dump water. I managed to get it in without any damage, but it actually lifted me an inch off the ground while I was trying to hold it down long enough for my wife to bring it in. That was close.

Glad you came through OK. As usual the storm was much milder here in town. It's nice to hear good things about the weather resistance of the campers. Too bad about the EZup.

I must have seen a dozen or so mangled frames from similar setups piled next to the dumpsters. They evidently don't handle the weather very well. At least our trailers seem to.

One thing you could definitely tell was who could secure a tent and who couldn't.....

Been there, done and not done that. Done is more comfortable but not done has better stories.

I was surprise when I saw it blown over didn't think the stakes I used would have pulled freed, Then find the stake still in the ground and the rope still attached, turned out it was the tie down at the ez-up that ripped free the sticking on the ez-up give. Next time going to get a heavy duty ez-up with stronger tie downs.

raspivey yea each dump site had three or four frames and there had to be four or five tents in the dumpester closest to out camp site.

Still all it was a good weekend.

Aside from the 4AM scramble, we enjoyed both days. Probably doing it again in a few weeks.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TRF!!!!!

We went on the weekend of October 19. We've got tickets to go again, but Ken's grandmother is in hospice care right now. Maybe we'll go again on November 23.
