My local coop lets me weigh mine on their scale, just after 4:30 when they're done using it for the day. If you have a nearby coop, call and ask if they mind!

That's the ticket.

IME the operators are not very forthcoming about the way things work. Probably because they work with truckers who already know the drill and aren't considering that campers haven't done this before.

You weigh with the TV and camper while hitched, go inside and pay ~$13 for your ticket. Then go back to the scale, unhitch the camper and tell them it's a "reweigh" and give them the first ticket number. Re-hitch and go back inside, the second ticket will cost about three bucks.

Got a 2000# Sherline on ebay for less than $100 shipped, so will try to make an adaptor to fit the 5er pin. Should be here Monday. If nothing else, it will give me something to tinker with.

Now a dumb question, are all pins 2-3/4" in dia at the end with a 2.00" dia shank 1.4375" long?

Would anyone want to try it in N'ville if I get an adaptor made?
