I did the same thing you are wonting to do. There are wood studs in this wall, probably plywood. The middle one seams to be about 5-6” wide, the other 2 about 2” wide. You can pick them up with a battery operated stud finder. If you look at the first picture you can see that I mounted a peace of ¼” plywood to these 3 studs. You can see the 3 screws across the bottom of the plywood, there are 3 more just under that curtain thing. They go into 3 wall studs. Before mounting the plywood to the wall first I mounted the wall channel to it. The table is particle board so I mounted a 1x2 cut to length to mount the channel to, as seen in second photo. 3rd photo, finished product.
