JustB Rad's thread about collisions with farm vehicles brought this experience back to my mind. I've lived among farmers for a good chunk of my life and have found them to be some of the best people I know. Most of them would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.
Some years ago, I was preparing my TT for winter storage. Got it all prepped, washed, waxed. Looked really spiffy! Then I headed out of town to a farmer who let me store it in his pole barn. A few miles out, I came up on a tractor towing a manure spreader. I managed to slow down to avoid him but what I didn't notice was the stream of wet, sloppy manure draining out the back of the spreader. I hit that stuff and threw it all over the bottom of my TT and TV, then stopped, turned around, went back home, and cleaned it all over again. It really reeked. I could still smell some of it months later in the Spring.
