Water leak at the hinge?

Went camping this weekend and had a good down pour. Noticed I had water on my cabinet. Couldn't find a leak. This morning is a light rain and I noticed the water possible seeping through the hinge by the door. What can I do to fix that?

Suggest you post make/model/year of your camper; someone with the same issue may see it.

I suggest regardless of the brand that you check the door seals, damaged or missing they will not keep the water out.

You can still test the hinge. Just tape it up and use a hose with sprinkler nozzle to shoot some water on it. If you don't blast it hard you should be able to get close to what rain would be like.

Our 2016 212hw had the same issue this weekend. Had a pretty good rain without much wind and had moisture along all the hinges.
On another issue on the last night it was cold and rainy and we were woken up with water dripping on us. There was a large amount of condensation on the inside of all the skylights and windows. We were using a little electric heater I prefer to the furnace for the quiet. We were 2 adults and 2 large dogs so I'm guessing it was from our breath but it's was a LOT of water dripping. Enough I had to use a bath towel to dry the window before going back to sleep. Once the sun got on the camper and we were up I turned on the fan, wiped the windows and everything dried out ok. Any suggestions on how to keep the condensation to a minimum?

You need to crack open the vent to let the moisture out. Normal TT's use something like a MaxAir vent cover that lets you open the vent without rain coming in.

I don't know what folks with A-frames do.

I made a post asking question about the vent fan. It was suggested fantastic fan. Easily rotatable when you are on the road.

Red marks indicate where I saw the water dripping in. The night before was a lot more water and covered the countertop backwall dripping into the cabinet below.

Fold it over and double check the seals. There may be a gap right at the edge by the door. Even if there is no gap, some sort of extra gasket might stop the water. The amount of water you describe seems in excess of what might be running straight down the camper wall unless the wind was blowing a significant amount of rain onto the side.

How was the leveling of the camper? If it was high on the door side it might have promoted a leak when it wouldn't happen if level. Look for other paths for the water. It might have come in elsewhere, such as the window, and followed the hinge to that point before running inside. Make sure there are no obstructions or debris under the whole length of the hinge that might prevent a good seal. Check the door fit too.

Keep us informed on the progress of your investigation and post any solution you find.

If condensation is building up on your windows or roof walls, there is a product called Damp-Rid. There are several configurations of this product, the one I like are the ones that have a small bag that I hang from the apex of my roof, it's amazing to see the bag slowly fill up with condensation. It works really good , completely took the moisture off the windows and walls. Click image for larger version

You have a leak by the door...when folding it down.....fully cose the door...then lift the side panel.
It is either this or your door side wall panel has become separated from the outstde wall....most likely from behind the micro wave cabinet .

D-mo
This answer is 2 the original poster....

For the dude with th3 condensation...and 2 dogs....open the vent on the roof....along with a side window.

I won't have a pension, and I certainly don't plan on dying anytime soon. I've also never heard anyone say damp-rid was anything but great. So by all means enlighten me, your explanation can't consist of quoting the warning labels. I've read them contemplated them. Unless you plan on eating it, it's perfectly fine. Used it for years no problem, hell there used to be a bag of this stuff hanging in my old Sunday school room.
