Water valves under the sink (A122S)

Figured out what all the other water valves do, but what do the two pull up (cold and hot) water valves under the sink do? They are right next to the water pump valve.

Those are the low point drain valves. When you're winterizing, one step is to open the faucets and pull open those two valves, letting the water in the pipes drain out.

Ah thank you. Was looking at them the other day and wasn't quite sure. Haven't had to winterize it yet. Hopefully not for another 5 months
