What Are the Velcro circles for? (A-Frame Ceiling)
On the inside ceiling of many Rockwood A-Frames, there are several Velcro circles. These are found on the bed side of the A-frame. No one, not even sales people have been able to tell me what they are for.
Sorry about the poor picture. It is a screen shot from a YouTube video.

Yep.. the question has come up before.. seems like people say it's some sort of protection for the ceiling.. maybe points where the roof panel might come in contact with something when it's folded down. There are other discussions on here about the mysterious circles.
I started to peel them off.. then I read the threads here.. so I left them alone.

The felt circles on your roof, are for when the camper is folded down. They rest on the front window seals when folded down. It just helps with road vibrations and to prevent metal on glass contact.

I thought that might have been the situation, but I couldn't see what might have made contact.

Exactly, and this is what happens to a brand new trailer by the time you get it home from the dealership if things aren't aligned properly.

Thanks.....i have a bit of scar myself on the roof.
Tolerances are so tight..something has to happen... when driving down the road...i cover the door with a thin white dish towel...no more issues since then.
Just one of those things....my unit im pretty sure was one of the first ones out of the factory...manufactures date is October 2010.

That's a great idea. I would rather do that than have a bunch of strange Velcro circles placed haphazardly on the ceiling.
Good idea D-mo

Mine is brand new, couple days. Guess they still have a few issues. Great idea with the dish towel, thanks. Will definitely do that when they replace the ceiling.

If these are Velcro circles, they would not be pads for travel when folded down. We have Velcro circles in our Sunseeker and the purpose is for a privacy curtain.

PenJoe,
I think you make a valid point. Actually, they may not be "Velcro." They might be protective pads that are stuck on the ceiling with adhesive tape. There would be no need for Velcro if they were just intended as "cushion" pads similar to the pads that we put on the bottom of table legs.
If they are indeed Velcro, they are strangely placed for a curtain in the Rockwood units that I am referring to. Hmmm . . .

The circles are not Velcro. They are felt pads stuck to the roof via an adhesive.
