Having gone back through all of the posts, the only ref. was Grease Lightning removing paint. We have used Grease Lightning without any effects to the surfaces. We have used Simple Green on gel coat, automotive paint, latex, oil based paint, carpets, upholstery, you name it and we have never had an adverse effect on the surface or finish. We also use it on windows with painted metal frames without damage.
There is one exception. I would not use any
of the chemicals mention here to clean leather or simulated leather upholstery as it may affect the dye. Use cleaners specifically for leather. We have had two instances, one on leather and one on simulated leather, where non specific cleaning agents have affected the dye.
