Having gone back through all of the posts, the only ref. was Grease Lightning removing paint. We have used Grease Lightning without any effects to the surfaces. We have used Simple Green on gel coat, automotive paint, latex, oil based paint, carpets, upholstery, you name it and we have never had an adverse effect on the surface or finish. We also use it on windows with painted metal frames without damage.

There is one exception. I would not use any of the chemicals mention here to clean leather or simulated leather upholstery as it may affect the dye. Use cleaners specifically for leather. We have had two instances, one on leather and one on simulated leather, where non specific cleaning agents have affected the dye.

Absolutely. When I posted the cleaners we use as one size fits all, including upholstery (meaning woven), I later recalled the problems we encountered with leather dyes. As some of the owners reading these posts have leather in their units, It was my intent to warn them of the exception.

We bought a gallon of concentrated granite clearer 10 years ago and I am still filling up spray bottles and using it for everything.
