What do you use for general purpose cleaner?

I like to have a general cleaner on hand to wipe down counters, floors, walls, etc. of our 192HW. While I have been using a bottle of 409, I'm wondering if this is too strong to use and I may be damaging the inside of the A-frame. What general purpose cleaner do you like to use? I need to find my manual because I think it describes what is best to use to clean windows (I think I remember.. .not Windex), but I don't recall what the manual said about counters and general wiping stuff down. Thanks!

I have used the various cleaners you can get at the "real" dollar store with good results.

"Greased Lightning" works great. Yea, I know, funky name but the stuff works great. I buy it by the gallon to refill all my individual dispensers and sprayers. Much better than 409 IMHO.

Awesome is great, but remember dilute and wash off immediately. When using outside to clean exterior dilute and wash off immediately with the original Dawn.

YES to Totally AWESOME!! I also use Hydrogen Peroxide inna spray bottle that you can get at Walmart for a buck or so. Cleans bathrooms and kitchens well and better than bleach.

We use Purple Power and Simple Green. Full strength for heavy grease, diluted for household chores and upholstery. Either will clean anything from your greasy vehicle motor (full strength), to your wheels (50% diluted) to your couch and carpet (1 part cleaner to 3 parts water). We use it as a pre-wash when there are grease stains on clothing. It has also totally removed printer ink stains from a carpet. Simple Green also claims to be non-toxic and biodegradable.

Mr. Clean is easy to use in spray form, and smells good, but I use mostly vinegar and water, 50/50 in a spray bottle.

409 can be a bit caustic and not good for painted or varnished surfaces. That said Windex is strong too and I clean about anything with it.v But watch the finish on anything you put 409 on.

Dawn for outside wash. Floor water & Vinegar (or Purple Pinesol 50% mix) and Miller Stevenson MS 760 for everything else. Also, KC KimWipes for towels.

Very good General Purpose cleaner. BUT and there is always a big but involved,. Greased Lightning will remove paint! So test on an inconspicuous spot.

Never had a problem with Greased Lightning removing paint other than from my hands after spraying with canned spray paint.
It Should be diluted for sensitive surfaces, but not standard counter tops and showers. Our housekeeper uses it everywhere.
