Where's the A124?

It's a mystery! The only Rockwood hardside A-frame units I've heard of are the A122, A126 and A128. What happened to the A124s?

My theory is that the prototype crashed at Roswell...

My theory is that once FR drives aliner out of business they are going to take the Aliner Titanium and mount it on a real frame, and then rename it the a 124.

A further question would be, .... Could we have our own forum .. as im sure the tent-trailer guys and gals that visit this sub-forum must be getting just a little tired of our ranting and raving ...

d-mo ..

getting ready to hit the road again ... one week right next to Lake Ontario.

I vote for that. It would make it easier for us to find relevant threads too.

Love those front windows. Wonder what it would cost to retrofit them in my 2011... With the special tape daveinpickerington showed us, I'd be less worried about a non-factory retrofit. But the roof panel would have to already have interior framing for the windows, I suppose.

We have the U sofa in our 128 and love it. If we want to leave it as a bed we can, or we can quickly roll and stow the bedding in the pocket at the back, behind the long cushion--it's there in the picture but you have to know it's there to find it. Looks like you would have to convert the sofa back and forth on the 124, since there's no place else to sit. The digital thermostat is a keeper; again I wonder about a retrofit.

Also nice to have a drawer, as the forward sink side cabinet has. And three outside access hatches.

What do you suppose the reference to a canopy means on the floor plan drawing? Obviously, a canopy, but what/where/how and how much? Inquiring minds want to know!

So this makes 5 models for '12, as there's another new one that's fitted out like one of the '11 models--I forget which--but with a front storage locker squeezed in.

Me too - a retrofit is something I have in the back of my mind as well. Not sure I'll shell out the $$$$ to do it though.

I like the fact that there are no switches to bump into and accidentally change the setting or temp, just flush buttons. Yes, you can get this thermostat, Google "Dometic 3313189.056" Found it for about $113 online. You could also just Google "Dometic Digital Thermostat" for a broader set of results.

I think that 3rd outside access hatch is only for Cassette Toilet waste tank access (the one on the passenger side)

You already saw my other thread I'm sure - I'm also tweaked about the awning idea and am eager to a) see on in person and b) find out cost to retrofit.

Yes - 5 floor plans now for 2012. It looks like the original A122 is still there. The A128 becomes the A128S (storage area on tongue), A124 replaces the A126 and there's the A127TH (Toy Hauler w/ 57x84" toy hauler deck at front). Finally the A122BH has a new 'deck' at the front (24x84") for hauling items uncovered.

That of course ignores the early 2012 A126, A128 models that bring the total to 7 different floor plans for 2012 (although I wouldn't expect any of the early floorplans to be made any longer based on the updated brochure).

A series digital thermostat

The .056 is not the right model for the A series (it's for cool/furnace/heat strip)
You want the Cool/Furnace/Heat Pump model which ends in
.023 for white and .031 for black
Here is the PDF product sheet
Dometic Digital Thermostat

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't dig that deep. Too much money for the upgrade for me right now.
