I'm in line for that one also!!!!!!

To the OP... only buy an inverter generator, period. Honda and Yamaha are the top of the line but if they are too much for the pocketbook then there are a lot of cheaper knock offs (champion, boliy), but you get what you pay for. And don't worry about fuel tank size, we run with an extended fuel tank on our Honda eu2000is for days.

Boliey are very good Gen sets and are very compatible with Honda and db is the same lite weight and you only need one to run 13500ac or 1 15000ac. You can not beat the price and yes they have extended fuel tanks as well. I have had Boliy for 6 years now. Very dependable.

Honda had the market and they could get away with high prices but the competition is now here. Later RJD

Never seen a Champion 3000 generator.

Seen the 3500w open frame and the inverter 3100/3400/3500 models.

Guess what most of us missed is that the cool cat is a small heat pump with less draw than our 13-15k AC. So the Honda 2000 he (the op) already has seems to run the cool cat just fine according to several answers in this thread and others. Learn something every day.
