Do you have a part number for the shackle plate connector upgrade kit? I don't want to hope that I will "just" need a welder next time this happens...

Wow... Another bad weld picture. What year trailer and miles driven on your trailer. I installed the Mor Ride kit on the trailer in my picture and the link will get you to some options.

Keep safe.

Thank you for the link. Trailer is a 2015 Trilogy 38RE that we purchased new
(leftover) in July, failure was noticed with a grand total of 1845 miles on rig since we left dealership.

I also find it interesting that every failure I have seen has been the right rear shackle....

Right turns are tighter than left turns and would probably put more pressure on the rear right shackle. Your picture does not look like the weld had much penetration. I would have all the other shackles checked during repair to be safe.

My BIL who had welded forever suggested that each shackle should have a 3/8" strap welded over it.

He also said the right rear wheel takes the most abuse leading to failure somewhere in the chassis.

Going to look into that in the spring. Right now, sitting pretty in central florida for the next few months.
