Just finished up one of my mods on my list this weekend.we had a ice maker in our Berkshire but we never used the ice for drinks.we were always drawing from different sources of water and sometimes out of our tank.So we just used this ice to put in cooler. We always used bottled water for drinking and cooking.
I thought it would be a waste to not take advantage of the ice maker and chilled water in our new fridge.I installed a water pump in behind the water manifold on the floor that feeds from a big bottle of water.
Now we can use the ice in our drinks and get a drink of water right from the door. Don't have to drag around cases of water and bags of ice any more
I put the switch for the pump with the water heater switch and main pump switch are inside. I installed the relay and fuse behind access for electrical in basement.
there were a couple of spare spaces for fuses that weren't being used so I located my fuse in there for easy viewing.
The position on the water manifold that fed the fridge is now not used. I have put a plug in water line in case someone ever turned it on by mistake
I installed a fitting to make it easier to change out bottle of water.
Just unscrew pull out old bottle, install hose in new bottle and slide into place and screw fitting back on. Bottle fit perfect in the area behind water manifold area.
