John please let us know how this unit is doing for you. We are looking at getting the exact same model and setup ourselves except probably not the Onan . I have a 2009 Silverado 3500 hd dually that i will use for this unit.

Has anyone had roof/leaking problem and/or has anyone had a roof coating like a Rhino coating applied?

I had 4 locations where the Fibre Glass roof membrane had fractured. After trying to get this corrected by Forrest River I ended up using a rubberized spray coating to seal the areas. This has worked very well so far. I also had to use the same sealant around the perimeter of the sky light as it had cracked at the fastening points. I am hoping to get both of these issues corrected by my dealer when I get my unit home next spring.
I like your idea of using the Rhino Coat for the roof. That makes more sense than trying to fix the fibre glass.

I was reading a forum and there are places that do this but can not find anybody that has done it but it makes sense if you get it done when it is new may stop lots of future problems

We are still waiting for our Trilogy to arrive. Communication between myself and Trilogy, as well as between my dealer and Trilogy, has not been good. Hard to get straight up answers. Supposedly the Trilogy was due off the assembly line on 16 Nov. Here it is 30 Dec and it has not been released for delivery.

Have considered even cancelling the order if this is an example of how Trilogy/Dynamax is going to conduct business.

Finally we have received word from our dealer that the Trilogy has been released for shipment and will be at the dealer Tuesday afternoon. My dealer then has to install the satellite and whole house surge suppressor system. So, we should be able to start moving in to it next Friday or Saturday.

That is great news John. I got an email from Michael Babcock with Trilogy in regard to insulation in the front cap. He said they double insulate the front cap as well as adding a layer or radiant barrier sheeting. I know there has been some discussion about the insulation. Can't wait for an update on your unit.

Hi Gary,

We now have the 2014 3850RL and the front cap is maintaining a good temperature. It has been below freezing most days since we picked it up and it has done well. More than I can say for our fresh water supply. Will post details on that in a few days.
