Installing a Honda 2000 in 38RE

I have a 2013 38RE, and normally carry my single Honda 2000 generator up front in the empty generator spot, then at night when I'm traveling and boon docking in a parking lot, I'll take it out, carry it around back, plug the shoreline into it, and lock it to my bike hitch so that it doesn't walk off in the night. It gets old in a big hurry.
What I'd like to do is preferably be able to leave the Honda inside the generator location up front, wire up a 30a shoreline connector that will plug into the generator up front, and either add a vent to the opening so that I can run the generator while locked inside, or at least be able to keep it up front and not have to carry it around back all the time. I might even buy a second 2000 if I can keep them both locked inside.

There is a junction box inside the generator space, which I assume is for hardwiring a true onboard generator to the RV.

Has anyone done this, or is my only option to continue plugging my portable generator into the shoreline, or installing a dedicated onboard generator?

Oh, btw. I have a special bike rack that won't allow me to permanently mount the generator on back, so that option is out....

My main concern with mounting a generator in the front compartment would be how to properly direct the exhaust gases out of the area so they don't accumulate and eventually make their way into the camper. OEM generators have an exhaust pipe directing the gases away from the camper.

The bike rack is just a 4 bike Kuat, theres no room for storage back there without having the bikes cantilevered out a ridiculous amount. I'm already 45' long with the rack as it is. I had a welding shop weld on a 2" receiver, I didn't trust $15k worth of bikes hanging off of the wimpy 1" receiver that Trilogy used.... I lost one of my racing bikes years ago when a cheap bike rack broke while driving through Sioux City, my bike slid under the boat that I was pulling, and by the time that another driver flagged me down, I had ground 2 bikes down to nothing. Never again.
I've considered the venting issue, and I'd probably just leave the door open if I were running the generators while inside the unit for safety. The main thing is that it's a royal PIA to drag the generator to the back of the unit, lock it up, and connect it to the shoreline every time that I boondock overnight while traveling. Having 2 units locked/mounted on a heavy duty rollout drawer up front for easy refueling is a much more appealing solution if possible.....

Lots to consider on this "MOD". Shock mounts, Exhaust routing, Refueling ports, and Cabling. The dealership might be a good place to start the designing. They have from time to time a 5r with a genny installed. Although mostly propane I wouldn't want a propane unit(s) unless they have their own designated tanks. I can't wait to your pictures.

You could install heavy duty drawer slides, like these Double-Locking Extra-Heavy-Duty Slides - Lee Valley Tools , mount the generator on top and pull the tray out when you intend to operate it. Also, I'm sure it can be hardwired too.
I should have done this instead of blowing a ton of money on the propane guzzling Onan.

You can buy a front mount hitch for your tow vehicle and put a rack that does not interfere with driving and mount your gen there. Look them up on the Internet. Curt and others make them vehicle model specific. Have seen 2 recently. Makes sense to have gen mounted up front. No fumes building. It's farther away than a rear rv mount. The mount comes as a receiver hitch. Thinking of doing this myself.
