New, 2015 Trilogy 39-fb owner

Hello all, just found this forum and been reading some interesting things, mostly good and some not. My wife and I bought our first Cardinal in 2000. Moved up to a Cardinal 33-ckt in 2004, and went hog wild in 2015, with the 39-fb, makes our last Cardinal look small. We have not been any where yet, but I have been going through it and trying to learn as much as my mind will absorb before our maiden voyage.
We up-graded to a 2014 Dodge 3500 DW,4X4 last year and after 11 good years with our last Cardinal, we decided to stay with Forest River.
We spend the winter at Port-Aransas, and last year we went to Robstown to an RV- show and my wife saw her first Trilogy and needless to say she fell in love. I was kinda impressed also.
I better hush up for now and go to bed . I'll try to learn how to put pics and more info later. Good night.TWT.

We live in what is called the rolling planes, in north west Texas, a small town south of Lubbock, named Snyder. It's located enough north to make it feel like winter. It is 500 miles north of Port Aransas where we spend the winter. We go down the first of November and stay until the first of April. I have a good buddy called author and when he gets cold, he really lets me know.

Question port aransas

Hi .. I noticed that you winter in Port Aransas, are there many Canadians there? Looking for a place to get away from the cold in Alberta. Like the idea of being around water. Have a 35 foot Wildcat 5th wheel and would like to live in it a few months.

A few folks from Canada. We meet new people from all over the country down here in the winter. I suggest if you are interested you may want to start now. It really gets full in the winter. We stay at Tropic Island RV. and motel. If you get down give me a holler and I'll show you around. Lots of fishing, the camp has several activities going on during the week, something for everyone.

Mine came with anchor points and a large bungie to hold the Residential Refrigerator doors for travel. I just hang it to the side till time to go again.

We have the residential fridge also. And secure it the same way as the others.

Because of the weight, the slide movement in and out seems like it has to work harder, but there is no undo strain or bending or flexing.

It does make more noise than the opposing slide out, but I think that is to be expected because of the weight, cabling and plumbing that has to maneuver in and out with the slide movement.

Do you have some concerns?
