Hi Bob,

We left Williams Tuesday afternoon at 1. We are now back in Texas preparing to give the camper and truck to the repair shops tomorrow.

Sorry we missed you. We could have chatted about our adventures/misadventures of our Trilogy's!

John

Dropped off the truck and camper for repairs today. Truck should be ready next week. Camper will take about 3 weeks.

Also looking into having a microwave vent added. I hate not having one...

I HATE, HATE, Texas in seasonal transition. 3 years ago, west to east, early April; Amarillo! Screaming high winds; open plains; 36 ft 5er; rain turned to SNOW, nowhere to run to; nowhere to hide! Called ahead and paid for nearest rv park for 2 nights!
Limped in at 45mph as trucks blew by at 70! Ohhh, what fun! Rv was stable BUT ice formed on the darned highway.
Never felt more relief than once we were plugged in!
Very fortunate to call ahead and pay. They were SOLD OUT when we arrived. Road conditions were sooo bad they let rv's park anyplace without a pedestal not in a fire lane.

2017 we will be heading to Mt Rushmore and up to Lake Louise; on to Portland, down to Utah and around. Likely part of California coast. (No, not missing the best) Married 49 years ago in Monterey and lived in Pacific Grove, weekends in Big Sur area, and also lived in Orange County. Wife worked in Carmel. Why did we move? STUPID, that's why 😩

We went back to San Angelo to pick up the truck. Keating Paint & Body did the repair on my truck. I'd rate them a 10+. Great service and staff. Did a great job on getting the truck back into condition.

Keating is also doing the body work on the Trilogy for Fun Town RV. We were able to see the work in progress. The nose cap has been finished (repaired and painted). They fixed a few factory flaws in the paint job as well since they were repainting the entire nose. Put on a different brand of clear coat. Runs about $500+ per gallon. Guaranteed to stay on for the life of the camper. Any issues (chipping, cracking, fading, peeling) with it or the paint come with a lifetime warranty.

The hole on the curb side has been patched, cargo and LP gas access doors repaired. Since the awning is being replaced, I asked them to re-drill the lower forward mount points. The awning was factory installed incorrectly (not plumb) so the forward arms never closed correctly. Keating estimates another two weeks to finish the curb side repair and paint plus redoing the rear cap (lots of scratches and some damage).

Will be happy to get our house back!

John

Received an update from Keating Paint & Body. They have finished all of the repairs to the body of the Trilogy and the paint.

The final repair is to the roof. There are a couple of slits in the roof where the structure penetrated the fiberglass. Mr. Keating is estimating completion on Tuesday and then the Trilogy goes to Fun Town for the installation of new parts.

We are hopeful we'll get the Trilogy back by next weekend. We sure miss it as it is our full time house.

John
