Slideout issue - Resolved!
I think we finally found and implemented a solution to our slideout problem.
In October I traveled back to the Lippert Sevice Center in Goshen. My goal was to get this slide fixed once and for all. I either wanted them to add another ram to the slideout by installing it on the forward rack/pinion or move the original ram from the aft rack/pinion to the center rack/pinion.
The technicians said in order to add a ram it would require additional hydraulic hardware including a manifold and larger pump. I said no to that option.
Next they offered to rebuild the existing system and adjust it as necessary. I said a resounding no to that option. Been there, done that, doesn't work.
So the last option was to move the existing ram to the center location. They contacted a Lippert hardware engineer who looked at the system and signed off on the change. $1200.00 later it was up and running and it FINALLY sealed in all corners. Before, the forward corner would not fully seat and seal so we always had a draft coming in.
If anyone else has issues with their slide, this is a good fix!
