The joke is on me

I have a pull through RV port that is 30 x44 and 14 ft tall to the wind braces (rafters). Bringing my trilogy home and pulling it under cover was not a problem. Unfortunately, unlike our 40 ft cardinal, the trilogie's straight roofline keeps me from pulling out due to the sloped drive which kicks the back end up into the rafters. No damage done yet but I will have to do something about raising the roof before going on our next trip. The joke is on me. (I actually anticipated this issue one night as I lay awake excitedly thinking about bringing the trilogy home from the dealer. )

Is extending the level part of the drive the required distance needed for clearance an option? I am under the impression that the trailer’s contact with the rafters is pretty near exit? You don’t say if the RV port is attached or unattached, but I would most definitely consider extending the level part of the drive as opposed to extending the height of the roof if the RV port is attached to the house.

Back it out the way you took it in. If it cleared going in, it will going out the same way.

The rv port is not attached to the house. There is about a 3 ft drop ar the exit. I have to make a hard right as I pull out from under due to trees and a creek bed. It is a metal structure so there are a couple of ways to make the opening taller. Backing out is an option but difficult.

There is about 5 inches of clearance above the rear ac and I believe that is what is touching first when pulled forward about 15 ft.

Would be a lot of work, but can you start the exit slope inside the shed instead of 3' outside?

What about doing your whole routine backwards? Pull in from the way you normally pull out? I have no idea what your setup looks like so this might not even be a possibility but I would consider it.

The structure is on a concrete slab. I have considered pulling in
from the other direction. That would solve the clearance problem. I will take some photos. We are still moving in and down sizing from the 37rl Cardinal (amazing how much "stuff"we had squirreled away)

FWIW, if you are only off by an inch or two the answer may be as easy as to lower the tire pressure until you clear the carport and then refill the tire pressure up to road pressure.

It looks very close for sure. Tire pressure thought would work, but it does require more time before hitting the road. On the other hand it would also assure that you checked your tire pressure before taking off on your trip.

On the other hand it also looks like a sawzall with a good blade and a welder would get the job done.

I have re graded the exit with an additional load of gravel. Hopefully it will do the trick as I will be pulling out for our first three month trip this coming week. The gravel is still loose so I am hoping there will be enough traction
