Also have two regulators

Hi New to this forum, have read it a lot, so jointed now.
I just got back from long weekend of camping, had to use furnace, ran out of propane on the Sunday, valved out passage side tank, and valved in driver side tank, furnace would not lite. So today after refilling passage side tank and valving it in , retied tried furnace, all worked fine, valved out passage tank again and retied furnace, it failed to fire up. Did same trying stove, running on passaged tank only all good, running on passage tank only got low flame( not good). both tanks valved in all good.
After reading some of posts I'm thinking my driver side regulator is not working, but did read info on main regulator and got impression that there was a main tank and reserve tank setup I system, going ot reread that info again. Need less to say my old trailer I used to valve only one tank in at a time so I knew when tank was out of propane( like that way better)

I still open and close my tanks as I need them except when one is getting low and I don't want to get up in the middle of the night to switch over if my furnace goes out or if towing a long distance and worried about fridge running out of propane. You should do a "Snoop" or home made soap solution test of all of your fittings including the connections to your tanks. Also, you may be able to smell the leak. When the red regulator diaphragm went I could actually feel with my finger the propane bleeding out of the little pin hole vent.
