2017 Sunseeker 2860 DS, awning gas cut off valve

So there is a propane gas cut off that will only let you use the propane quick connect when the awning is fully retracted.

As I have a 30 ft propane hose, and will never cook under the awning, is there an easy way to disable this 'valve' cut off wherever it is ?

I'd bet that is just a 'warning' sticker to CTA. (cover their...)

While there is a manual shut off lever at the quick-connect, (silver lever in your photo) I've never seen anything hooked to the awning that makes the quick-connect non-functional if the awning is out.

Never heard of such a thing. Bet it is just a label, have you tried it with the awning out?

Are you sure you are just not getting flow, ala using a regulated grill on the regulated qd? Does flow restore when awning is in? Seems strange... But they do put in devices to keep the back TV from working when in gear.. So who knows!

Yes ive tried it

There is no gas flow with awning out and all valves open.

Close the awning and voila the gas is on.

Behind the quick connect there is a black box. Maybe theres a solenoid relay that cuts it off ?

Ya, it will just be a valve in the pipe. If you remove it make sure you check for gas leaks. Should do that every year anyway do to the vibration when traveling.
