30lb Propane Tanks
Tanks are fine. The compartment on the 2015 silverback 33rl is soooo tight it is really tough to get the tanks back in and bar secured. Got the unit in May so I never noticed this issue. Now I refill and cannot get the grooves on the secure bar to fit. This is not my first fifth wheel rodeo! Lived 2 winters in our 2011 Keystone 36 ft triple slide and filled the tanks weekly. Never an issue. Did not see this one coming when we were at Rally in Goshen. Trying to find a secure bar with 3 notch positions vs 2 which should solve the problem. May have to take what we have to a metal shop and have it notched. I see a $40 bill coming for no darn good reason.
Anyone else have this issue and a CURE?

Mark your bar where u need the notches. Many CG or their owners have tools ie grinder. Shouldn't take even 5 minutes. Just 4 notches.
Plan to do mine tomorrow when I help him work on his camper to go home. An idea any way.

Marked while on tanks. Only need one notch but I did both sides to just be safe.
A couple of minutes later.

Thanks. I will do this prior to moving the unit for our Christmas in Disney. Pictures and grinder info were helpful. I believe the RV resort shop can do this for me.

Had the same issue 2 years ago when we bought ours. The compartment is too shallow and the tanks press against the door when closed, can't recall exactly what I did but I believe I readjusted the tray.

What happened when you filled the bottles? Did they swell? I admit, it's not easy getting them back in but it is doable.
If they fit originally, what has changed?

Be real, the bottles don't swell, however if they aren't installed correctly and the compartment door is forced closed against a slightly protruding bottle then the fit isn't correct. A slight re-adjustment and the fit is somewhat better. Too much of a hurry in the factory I believe!

Some of ours campers come only with two notches on the ends. Makes you try to push the bottles apart to be get in notches. It was just aggravating and cutting the third notch like most have just gives the person the peace of mind.
Don't have that much trouble with hoses and closing the door. Even running an extension to a 100# bottle.

Swollen tanks
Tanks are made of Chinese metal. Same factory as tires. Amish now playing tricks on those not good with a Rubik Cube! Seriously, had to pry the double notched lock down bar loose. Every other bar of this type I have seen had 3 position notches on each end. Tanks are in and fine. I don't like riding down the highway without the notched bar set and secured.
