Anyone use the ap products lpg tank check?

Summary, bluetooth sensors sit under the tanks and send the level to a phone or monitor panel.

Currious if anyone has used it or has it and your thoughts on it. Thanks.

Works like a champ!

I also got those "spare tire/donut" thingies to sit under the tanks, instead of the little rubber feet that come with these sensors. Feet worked ok but not good enough for me. Sensor works awesome! I bought at Dyers.

BandJCarm:
Can you post a link/picture of what using under your propane tanks?
I ditched the plastic feet and cut a hole in a piece of 1/2” plywood for mine. I would like to “upgrade” to something better.

By the way, I’ve been using the tank check for a couple years - they work great!

Wonder if these things would work well for FW, grey and black tanks?

I bought an AP Products kit on ebay last month for $79.95 with free shipping. It came with 2 sensors, a readout (which I mounted inside my TT), and 6 aluminum feet for the tanks.

It installed easily, works great, and I love it.

I am personally a little worried about those gadgets. I could be wrong.

Me being simple I set the regulator to pull from both tanks and turn one off at the tank. When I hit bottom on one I open the other. I now know that I need a refill soon and do not run out...

Prpanre tanks

This is the finest thing I have ever bought for my RVing pleasure. Have used for over a year now and can't do without. I never used the auto transfer for the tanks until I got this. Now I know at any time, what tank I'm on and how much gas is left.

Yup, bought them a year ago, works great on my TT, AP sent me new aluminum "feet" after I had asked about replacements... at no charge.........grant it, they were less then a year old at that point so maybe that was why I got free replacements (?)

On a Motorhome LP Tank?

Has anyone tried the AP sensor on a motorhome with a large horizontal LP tank? Their webpage says it is possible. Link here.....

I've been using the sensors for a couple years and have had no problems of false readings.
I cut a piece of plywood to fit exactly in the tank holder(no movement while running) and then cut a hole in the plywood to make room for the button on the bottom. No feet to lose or repurchase.

Seems like a great idea. Any issues with water under the wood and rusting? Maybe I’ll see about doing the same thing with a piece of starboard which won’t absorb water. Once I get my sensors.

The aluminum ones came with mine. Will not stay on the tanks. Lost half of them the first month. Mine show tanks emty a week before they are and full a week are so after using it. Not very accurate but close.

I do the same thing. The last 2 times I ran out of propane were 1) in the middle of cooking dinner on the grill- I blamed the wind and brought the chicken inside to cook; and 2) in the middle of the night on a 35 degree night- woke up to a super cold house! (Actually, this has happened quite a few times now.)

I never seem to run out of propane when it's convenient!
