Folks do use a valve called a "MAC" to fill the little green bottles. I have no personal knowledge of a bottle being overfilled and the pressure relief lifting I'm sure it could happen.

Sorry..I should of explained, been trying somehow to convert mine, but its the regulator style with the temp control knob/regulator built into one....I don't think it can be done
