Camp Chef stove?

Any issue with me connecting my Camp Chef gas grill to the side gas connection (the one for the RVQ)? Regulator issues? Connections? RV is a 2015 Micro Lite 25KS.

Thanks from a TT noob . . .

does your Camp Chef have a regulator attached? You may have to remove for proper pressure.

If your grill uses the 1# disposable bottles from the factory it will not work on the low pressure quick disconnect of an RV with out a modification or conversion kit from the manufacturer.
If it uses a standard gas grill regulator and hose you can remove the regulator and connect it to your RV.
Hope this helps

Camp Chef stove?

Camp chef sells an RV connection hose for their stoves. The site has a list of which models are compatible. I use one on mine with no issues other than burning through my twin 20lbs way too quickly. I really need to upgrade to twin 30's this season.

Update: here's the link

Mine would't work when connected to the trailer either, but I did have an issue wit the trailers regulator I found later. Never got a chance to try it since replacing trailers regulator. Going to try again when weather is better.

I had a Camp Chef stove that wouldn't work off the quick connect on my trailer as well. It used a high pressure regulator. The pressure from the TT gas system is low pressure.

Camp chef web site details how to do it, also, the quick connect hose to your stove can be purchased in several stores, like Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop and even Walmart.com (online and shipped to local store). I have a camp chef stove and another brand of a grill which I can connect either one to my quick connect.

Sounds like I have more research to do. Thanks for responding, guys. Seems like it should work. I can always connect to one of the front tanks or bring a 20#, I guess.

flyrotor, did you have to do more than replace the original hose with regulator with the 'rv connection' hose that has no regulator? Nothing special about my stove; it's a two burner model with standard burners. I have the griddle and grill box which are GREAT. Really want to get this going on the quick connect. . .

No, it really is just that simple... just open up walmart.com and search for camp chef hose, this is what you will find, then you can have it shipped to your local store, no shipping charges

As we say around here: 'preciate ya!

Gonna pick up that hose; was in Sportsman's Warehouse today, they didn't have it. No Bass Pro or Cabelas (yet) here in Lexington, KY.

Update: Camp Chef stoves are offered with either low pressure or high pressure burners (or combo). Visit the 'Learning Center' section of Camp Chef website. My stove has low pressure burners so off to order the rv hose . . .

CampChef sells them direct on their website. Are they sold out there too?

Well, that sucks. I'd probably contact them directly and inquire when they'll have more in stock.

Otherwise, maybe try a BBQ store to see if they can custom fab one for you. It's also possible to make your own with the right fittings, but I wouldn't trust myself to make sure there were no propane leaks in a homemade hose.
