Check your PigTails!

I had something happen yesterday that completely surprised me. I have NEVER seen or heard of a Tank Pigtail hose coming off the barb. I have a 2016 Flagstaff with 2 30lb bottles. Walked by the camper yesterday afternoon, temp was 102 outside. I heard a hissing noise and thought maybe I had a tire go bad on my Truck. But the noise was coming from the front of the camper. Got close to the bottle cover and smelled propane. Needless to say I was shocked to see this. Lesson check your pigtails.

Good you found it. Any mechanical device they can fail I have not seen this before either. When I replace the bottles I try to position them where there is no strain on the pigtails. thanks for the heads up

Have never had one separate, but did just replace one that had a leak at that same connection.

I would hope that the free flow cut off would have kicked in to prevent any significant leak.
